Angola: Ndalatando Botanical Gardens

Angola is double the size of France and 14 tunes the size of Portugal whose colony it originally was. And yet, in the entire expanse of Angola there is only one botanical garden. It’s located in the town of Ndalatango and was originally a Portuguese botanical research station. The garden is semi abandoned and not in a great state (like everything else in Angola away from the capital), but it still sports an impressive collection of flora and forest of bamboos, rubber trees, and fig trees.
