Antarctic Peninsula: Bubble netting whales

We saw whales using bubble netting technique for feeding: groups of 3-4 whales do shallow dives and release air bubbles in underwater columns. The air pushes krill (massive amounts of small shrimplike animals) together. Then the whales swim up with wide open mouths and gobble up all the krill. Unbelievable site within just feet of the zodiac.
