Australia: Bungles Bungles aka Purnululu National Park

Bungles Bungles (aka Purnululu National Park) is a spectacular area of sandstone domes that are striped orange and black. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The red stripes are oxidized iron while the black stripes are cyanobacteria growing on layers of soft sandstone. The bungles are spectacular from the air.
