Barbados: Speightstown & Folkestone Marine Park

Driving up along the west coast of Barbados you mostly see hotels and resorts fronting perfect beaches. The most outstanding piece of the coast is arguably along the Folkestone Marine Park, which is an underwater park with a nice chunk of a coral reef. The best little town along the west coast is Speightstown, untouched by resorts (yet) with old buildings and churches, and old-school simple right-on-the-beach bars. Speightstown actually dates all the way back to 1630.
