Botswana: Reed Frogs in Savuti

When you get close to the abundant water reeds on the banks of the wetlands, you can spot tiny little reed frogs clinging to the stalks. The species is the Angolan Reed Frog, commonly found in the Caprivi Strip and Okavango Delta. They look like they came from pages of a comic book – brightly colored with tiger-like spots, red-on-white tones, and red feet. The population usually explodes during the wet season and almost disappears during the dry months.
