Chile: Conguillio National Park
Conguillio National Park is truly stunning with its groves of the bizzare looking Araucaria aka Monkey Puzzle trees (Araucaria araucana). The trees are conifers but have scales rather then needles and look like they belong on another planet (it’s the national tree of Chile). The park has plenty of amazing volcanic landscapes as well, with two massive active volcanoes – Llaima and Sierra Nevada.
