China: Chengdu – Giant Pandas
The most adorable animal in the world – giant panda! They live in the wild in the Sichuan mountains and consume only bamboo. At the Giant Panda Breeding Center, they humans help the animals to breed (in the wild, the survival rate of newborns is near zero). As you explore the center – you can see the pandas munching on bamboo, playing, or just sleeping. They appear lazy and dormant, but that’s mostly because the bamboo hardly has any calories and the pandas are trying to consume the energy. For an extra fee, you can take a picture with a baby panda sitting in your lap.
