China: Huanglong National Park
Huanglong National Park is one of those places on Earth that you must see before you die. Located high in the mountain of Sichuan, a cable car takes you up to the top of the terraces and pools and then from there you descend back down. All along the way are stunning terraces, pools, and waterfalls created by calcite deposits in the water. As you go down a wooden path, the views are truly otherworldly with water glistening in the many crystal clear blue and green pools, and then cascading down over the yellow and golden terraces down the mountain.
