Corsica: Bonifacio
Bonifacio lies at the very southern tip of Corsica and was built on high cliffs as a massive citadel to protect the port. Approaching it from the sea (ferry from Sardinia to Corsica) is an impressive sight of buildings and a fortress perched high up on absolutely vertical cliffs. It’s as impressive to roam around the citadel city and look down.
