England: Crossing the English Channel by Ferry
I wanted to drive the tunnel but it was closed due to illegal immigrants trying to climb into trucks and getting to UK. Oh well, ferry ride turned out to be much better and the best way to see and approach the spectacular white Cliffs of Dover. The journey from the French port of Calais to the English port of Dover took only 1.5 hours. The white cliffs formed an unbroken line for miles east and west of Dover. And little planes were buzzing overhead (hope it wasn’t Luftwaffe)…
