France: Moirax – Norte Dame Church

Moirax is a tiny village in the middle of rural southern France, basically in the middle of nowhere. The only reason to stop here is the Notre Dame de Moirax church that dates back to 1049. The original church was built along the Santiago de Compostela religious pilgrimage trail and to collect inter-regional tolls. The church is austere with few decoration except some sculpture reliefs, but it’s shape and construction are quite different from other churches and unique.
