France: Pont Du Gard

Pont du Gard is probably one of the most famous and spectacular Roman aqueduct bridges. It was built in the 1st century AD and was part of the 50km aqueduct carrying water to the city of Nimes. It’s a massive structure 50 meters /160 feet high but only declines 2.5 cm / 1 inch over the while length if the bridge so water flows smoothly. Amazing! One of the first UNESCO World Heritage Site.
