Gabon: Loango NP – Loango Lodge
Loango Lodge is most certainly THE place to explore the incredible Loango National Park from – it sits just on the edge of the protected area (across a small lagoon) and all the wildlife and game drives and fishing are within a stone throw away from here. The lodge is beautiful and simple at the same time – just a few bungalows and the main area with a deck overlooking the park. The best part – it’s really difficult to get here and you are likely to be the only guest. Only some hardcore fishing aficionados come here but you will hardly see them as they are gone day and night and couldn’t care less about the wildlife. Game drives, lagoon trips, rainforest hikes, fishing, and gorilla trekking – you can have it all!
