Germany: Berlin – Charlottenburg Palace

The magnificent and expansive baroque and rococo Palace was built in the 17/18th centuries, originally for the wife of the king Friedrich I of Prussia, Charlotte. Expanded over the years, it’s often called the Versailles of Berlin, with massive central dome and lavish interior and outside gardens. In my opinion, it pales in comparison with its French or Russian counterparts, but it’s still impressive nonetheless.
