Germany: Goslar

Ok, one more German town with half-timbered houses and that’s it! Goslar was one of the richest town in medieval times due to its location near the mountains rich in copper and silver, in fact, the nearby mines are some of he oldest in the world. Similar to other nearby fortified old towns, Goslar is compact around the the central square with a decorated townhall and a soaring cathedral and packed to the rim with beautiful half-timbered houses. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
