Germany: Naumburg – Naumburg Cathedral

One of the most beautiful cathedrals in Germany, Naumburg Dom dates to 1170 and was built in a blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles. It’s an impressive with four soaring towers. But real attractions are inside – the famous life-sized carved figures of the 12 of the cathedral’s founders, the crypt, the vaulted ceilings, the stained glass windows, and a really gory statue of Christ. The cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
