Germany: Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam

Sanssouci Palace is a sprawling complex of palace building and beautifully landscaped gardens and terraces in Potsdam. This was the summer residence of the King of Prussia, Frederick the Great. The palace was built between 1745 and 1747. You can walk around the grounds of the palace and enjoy the gilded buildings, marble statues, and fountains. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
