Germany: Weimar

Weimar is one of the most visited towns in Thuringia since it’s considered to be the capital of the classical literature. Goethe, Schiller, and Nietzsche all lived and produced here. Also Franz Liszt composes here and Vasiliy Kandinsky painted here. And finally it was in Weimar that the first German democratic constitution was adopted after WWI giving birth to Weimar Republic. All of this stuff is commemorated in various buildings and museums, and to be brutally honest not particularly interesting. Luckily, Weimar boasts several beautiful squares and top notch architecture.
