Greenland: Iceberg Alley

Cruising back int ok the open seas and out of East Greenland the captain decided to take a scenic and exhilarating route through the Iceberg Alley, where dozens and dozen of massive iceberg float into the Scoresby Sound. Iceberg of all shapes and sizes, from tabular to castle-like, many bigger and heavier then the ship itself (9/10 of the iceberg volume is underwater and the underwater shape is often different from the abovewater). It’s an intense task for the ship crew to navigate, using all the sonar equipment and going slow and careful, especially given that the route through the Iceberg Alley was unchartered.
