India: Jodhpur – Street Markets in Old City

Roaming around densely packed market streets of Jodhpur was a real experience. Jodhpur is somewhat off the beaten path as most tourists stick to Golden Triangle of Delhi/Agra/Jaipur, and hence people watching and markets are much more authentic and real and people go around their shopping business without assaulting you with trinket sales. Several blocks were dedicated to textiles and clothing as women in ultra colorful sari kept trying and shopping latest fashions, fruit sellers pushed carts overloaded with ladyfinger grapes and pomegranates, nearly every doorway had some guy frying something delicious. And the European-style mannequins dressed in sari and other Indian garb – total hit!
