Ireland: Kilmacduagh Monastic Site

Kilmacduagh Monastery is another spectacular ruined abbey, originally built in the 7th century. The ruins are known as “Seven Churches” albeit not all the building were built as churches originally. In the middle of the site is a stunning round tower 30m/99 ft high. The entire site is also a grave site full of standing old Celtic crosses.
