Irkutsk Oblast: Irkutsk Market
Irkutsk being the heart of Siberia and surrounds by taiga forest everywhere – the market here is filled to the brim with wild berries and mushrooms and pine nuts. Blueberries, lingonberries, cranberries, gooseberries, sea buckthorn, red rowan (рябина), black viburnum (калина). The mushroom also fantastic – ryzhik. white gruzd (both top choice mushrooms but rather rare in Belarus, growing here in abundance) and honey mushrooms. And of course the pride and joy of Siberia – the pine nuts!
