Israel: Sea of Galilee

Sea of Galilee is not really a sea but rather a large freshwater lake (the largest in Israel) with the circumference of 54km. It is the lowest freshwater lake on Earth being 215 m (705 ft) below sea level. It is the second lowest lake of any kind, just the nearby Dead Sea is lower. The lake is being fed by underground springs and the Jordan river. It is surrounded by picturesque hills and resorts and you can drive all around it.
