Jordan: Petra – The Grand Temple

The Grand Temple area of Petra is actually the part that was rebuilt by the Romans who succeeded Nabateans. It looks like the classical Roman ruins site – rows of columns, mosaic floors, lots of open spaces, square stand alone temple building (Romans didn’t carve out the rock walls).
