Kaliningrad: Konigsberg Cathedral in Kaliningrad

Königsberg was the capital of East Prussia from the medieval times until 1945 when it became Kaliningrad. The city had a massive palace, city walls with many gates, and a magnificent cathedral. The Konigsberg Cathedral was built between 1333 and 1380 and at the time was one of the most impressive buildings in Europe. The gothic cathedral was damaged in WWII mostly by the British bombers but has been restored and now houses a museum and has two working chapels, Lutheran and Orthodox. The tomb of the German philosopher Kant is outside the Cathedral near one of the walls. His mask is inside the museum. (Not sure what Kant would say about the House of Soviets building overlooking the cathedral but it may involve some German curse words).
