Kurdistan: Iraqi food recap

It was a rather short trip to really get into sampling a lot, but a classic middle eastern fare was great – fire grilled Iraqi kebabs with fresh roasted tomatoes and onions, mezze (mixture of dates, prunes, nuts, figs, and so on), hummus with pine nuts, manakish (pizza-like flatbread with meat on top), and much more. Finished a small glass of hot black tea after every meal, and just as stand alone every hour.
