Madagascar: Ankarana National Park

Ankarana National Park is incredible. Just like a similar park in the south, this one has Tsingy (eroded limestone formations that go as far as the eye can see), but also pristine dry forest with the most bizarre plants and animals, 7 species of lemurs, massive caves with 13 species of bats, sinkholes, underground rivers, and so much more. Probably can spend weeks here exploring and won’t even scratch the surface. You do get accompanied by a ranger with an AK47 here as it’s not the most developed or safest park. And it’s 99% humidity with a 35 Celsius heat – so 15km hikes are “great”.
