Maldives: Male
Male is the capital of Maldives and one of the most densely populated cities on earth. The whole city sits on a small round island and there are hardly any spots that are not covered by buildings or cement of the embankment. This used to be a walled royal city but nothing of that remains. Nowadays? It’s just modern glass buildings that seemingly climb on top of each other and more and more construction is ongoing. It’s busy, hectic, crowded, noisy, and dusty. You can probably walk around the whole city in a few hours.
