Marquesas/Nuku Hiva: Eels in the Hakaui Valley

The stream running through the Hakaui Valley is home to massive fat eels, almost 2m/6ft long (monsters compared to the slender and small European eels). The spotted humongous fish could be seen swimming in the shallow whitewater of the stream. Turns out, they were quite excited about eating fresh coconut and approached really close almost taking it from your hand.
