Mexico/Campeche: Dzibilnocac Ruins

Dzibilnocac is a small archaeological site of Mayan ruins. This site, in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by a tropical forest, was inhabited since probably around 500BC, and reached its peak between the 600-800AD. The central feature is a large platform with a temple – 76m long and 30m wide. Interestingly, this is a relatively newly excavated site, fully unearthed only as recently as 2013. Its likely that you will have the whole site to yourself.
