Mongolia: Selenge River Valley
Selenge River flows north and into Russian Baikal lake (it’s the largest river feeding Baikal). The beautiful Selenge valley is only 40km from the Russian border. Aside from spectacular panoramic views of the river twisting and turning, there are beautiful meadow full of wild onions, forests are packed with mushrooms, and pigging out on berries on the roadside is a must-do.
