North Korea: Around Pyongyang – Socialist Architecture

Pyongyang is a surreal city – quite modern and architecturally futuristic unlike what I expected it to be. But what’s even more amazing is all the monuments, slogans, boards, and other socialist stuff. Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il stare at you pretty much from every corner and building – often together. And the Stalinist motivational propaganda is everywhere, as people go around their daily life – on foot or on bikes.
