Norway: Hardangevidda National Park

Hardangevidda National Park is the largest national park in Norway, protecting a high mountain plateau of the same name. Hardangervidda is one of Europe’s largest mountain plateaus. It’s a cold and desolate landscape of barren moorlands with no trees or any other signs of life. Snow and ice covers land and many lakes and pools. The alpine climate is home to rare arctic plants as well as a large reindeer herd.
