Norway: Undredal Stave Church

Another beautiful Nordic stave church is located in a picturesque spot of the town of Undredal, right on the shore of the Aurlandsfjord fjord. This one was built in 1147, unlike other stave churches in Norway, this one is painted white with a red roof. Also this is the smallest stave church in the country. The location is beyond stunning – tall cliffs rising everywhere, colorful Undredal village houses hang on to the steep shore line, and an amazingly beautiful classic Norwegian fjord.
