Norway: Urnes Stave Church
Urnes Stave Church is another one of the spectacular Norwegian stave churches, and this one is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The church is located right on the side of the equally beautiful Lustrafjord and offers great photography with the fjord and mountains in the background. The church dates back to 1130 AD and is the oldest stave church in Norway. It is famous for elaborate wood carvings known as Urnes-style.
