Romania: Transfagarasan Highway
This was beyond incredible – a twisting mountain highway through the Fagarasan Mountains. One of the most spectacular drives in the world as you climb to the crest that has two alpine lakes, mountain huts and spectacular views. Then you go through the tunnel to the other side of the mountains – and it gets even more spectacular as you twist and turn on the descent. Just surreal on every level! This is why traveling is so exciting – places like this!
