Romania: Bucharest
Largest city in the southeastern Europe (2.5 mln), Bucharest is rather grey and boxy. Several large squares, nice old town area, great cafés and food… But nothing impressive except for maybe the massive former President palace that Chaushesku had (until he was shot for having too much)!
