Saudi Arabia: Al Ula Old Town

To the south of the archaeological site of Hegra aka Mada’in Saleh lies the old town of Al Ula, over 7 centuries old. The entire town is made from mud bricks and clay and everything is interconnected and looks like a beehive in the desert. There is a Mousa Bin Nusayr castle in the middle. The town was the place where pilgrims massed and stayed before their final journey to Medina and Mecca.
