Saudi Arabia: Arabian Green Beeeater

Who said that Saudi Arabia is not good for wildlife watching? In Najran, we spotted an absolute stunning Arabian Green Beeeater, an endemic species. Absolutely stunning bright green color, blue face, and black eye mask. Merops cyanophrys in Latin, the bird lives in wadis, where there are some trees and water, digging 1-2m deep borrows in the ground. They primarily eat flying insects and occasion beetles and spiders and caterpillars.
