Slovenia: Ljubljana (Revisited)

Ljubljana Ljubljana is absolutely awesome! Beautiful pedestrian old town center with atmospheric squares and baroque buildings, Ljublanica River flowing through the middle of it with bridges spanning it and myriads of outdoor cafes lining up the river banks. The central Prešeren Square is the absolute heart of the city and a happening place with both tourists and locals hanging out here, although it felt emptier then the last time I was here. Just across the river, Ljubljana Castle towers above the town, while beneath it a Ljubljana Cathedral and an ornate townhall. It’s an absolute pleasure to stroll around the cobblestone streets or just sit and enjoy the view with a glass of local wine and the famous Istrian truffles. The city gets even more beautiful at night with the main sites and squares adorned in lights.
