Socotra: Aomak Beach
In the southern coast of Socotra lies it’s longest and perhaps the most classically beautiful beach – Aomak Beach. The beach is wide, with ultra fine and super white sand gently sloping is the lapping waves of the Indian Ocean. The beach curves as a crescent as far as the eye can see in both directions, probably going on for miles along the southern Socotra, desolate and without a human being in sight. Why do people cram into crappy and dirty beaches of Nice or Miami (or even worse – Long Island in New York or Sochi in Russia) – I will never understand.
