Spain/Andalusia: Zahara de la Sierra

While Ronda is a bit of a tourist trap (spectacular nonetheless), the absolutely beautiful Zahara de la Sierra is purely mindblowing. The town clings to the sides of a steep hill overlooking a big lake beneath and mountains in the 360 panorama. Every street climbs steeply up to the main square with a beautiful church on top. But there’s more. From here, a very steep staircase and path lead up even higher to the very top of the hill where a medieval Moorish castle stands. You can look down on the town where every building is snow-white; Zahara is considered one of the most beautiful of the Andalusia’s pueblos blancos.
