Nevis: Hermitage Plantation
Hermitage Plantation is one of the oldest plantations in the Caribbean, and in fact its main wooden building is the oldest surviving wooden structure in the Caribbean, built in 1640 from lignum vitae wood. It now functions as a boutique hotel built in steep slopes with views up the volcano and down to the ocean.
