Sudan: Camel Market near Khartoum

While the long-horn cattle is brought from southern part of Sudan all the way north to Khartoum, camels go in the opposite direction. Located on the border of two states, traders bring bring animal caravans come here from all over this vast country – from Sahara in the north and west and the Red Sea in the east. The most common breed here is apparently white camels, very sturdy and tall looking.
