Timor Leste: Central Highlands

Timor Leste is very mountainous, the entire middle of the country is a plateau of 6-9 thousand feed, culminating at Mt Ramalau, the highest point. The roads lead from north to south coast would have been a mere couple hundred kilometers as a straight line, but instead it twists and turns forever and take over a day to drive. Along the way, there are spectacular green vistas of cloud and most covered green mountains with some traditional huts here and there and fields of vegetable and various leafy lettuce. You feel like stopping at every corner to take in the panoramic view which is rather hard to photograph.
