Togo: Aneho – Colonial Architecture Ghosts & Beach
Aneho is the old German capital of Togo and is full of old German-built two story colonial buildings. For some reason, locals don’t like living in them, preferring single story simple structures, and hence most of the old building are empty and in various states of collapse. Only the churches are maintained. And right behind the streets with old colonial ghosts lies an absolutely stunning and empty beach with a super-wide strip of pristine yellow sand, aquamarine ocean lapping it, and not a single person as far as the eye can see.
