Turkey: Cappadocia – Pasabag Fairy Chimneys (Revisited)

Yet another must-see attraction in Cappadocia is the Pasabag Fairy Chimneys – a surreal collection of mushroom-shaped rocks, some with cave dwellings inside. Pasabag aka Monk’s Valley aka Mushroom Valley is renown for its unusual formations of fairy chimneys that have caps of harder volcanic tufa rocks on top, making them look like mushrooms. The formations are well concentrated in a single valley and are some of the most striking fairy chimneys in the entire Cappadocia with twin and even triple rock caps. Many of these cones have monk dwellings inside.
