Turkmenistan: Camels in the Karakum Desert

Karakarum desert is a vast expanse of sand, limited vegetation, no water, and harsh environment freezing temps in winter and scorching heat in summer. Few animals live in Karakum, with the largest mammal being the camel. Most are domesticated, while some still remain wild. As you drive through Karakum, camels stand on both sides of the highway, and many cross right in front of you
