Ukraine: Lviv – City of Cathedrals & Churches

Lviv is jam-packed with cathedrals. In order of appearance in this album are: Bernardine Monastery & Church (15th century monastic complex layered in gold and with beautiful frescoed ceiling and walls), Church of St Michael (a two-towered church standing high on a hill above the old town where the sunlight pouring thought the south-facing windows made for some incredible shots), Dormition Church (16th century Orthodox Church), Dominican Cathedral (a Greek Catholic Church that was built and rebuilt here for centuries, a grand baroque cathedral with a massive dome), Armenian Church (tucked in the heart of the old town), Church of Tranfiguration, St George’s Cathedral (an absolutely beautiful church a little way out of the old town with beautiful pastel yellow colors and full of light), and a small Benedictine Church.
