Ukraine: Rivne

Rivne (aka Rovno) – the capital of a northwestern oblast in Ukraine. The city was first mentioned in 1253 and was a large transit and regional center throughout its history. It’s a historic town with a lot of interesting architectural attraction. An old wooden church is located slightly outside the center – beautifully restored 1756 Sviato-Uspenska Church shines in bright blue. Several large cathedrals and spectacular old historic buildings of theater and cinema are located along the main street, as is a stunning red-brick Organ Music Hall, which formally was a catholic cathedral.
